1.Service life
Under normal usage, the gas consumption of a gas wall-hung boiler gradually rises year by year. The boiler requires regular cleaning during operation. Even after cleaning, its energy consumption cannot return to the original level, which explains the annual increase in gas usage.
2.Indoor temperature setting
The indoor temperature setting of the boiler, whether set too high or too low, will affect gas consumption. Setting the temperature too high wastes gas; setting it too low results in a low startup temperature, which also impacts gas consumption and user experience.
3.Thermal efficiency of the boiler
The thermal efficiency of conventional gas wall-hung boilers is generally between 85% and 90%. Condensing boilers deliver higher efficiency. Fully premixed condensing boilers adopt advanced fully premixed combustion technology and high-efficiency flue gas waste heat recovery technology, offering outstanding environmental protection and energy-saving performance. The thermal efficiency of ordinary boilers is roughly 85%–90%, while fully premixed condensing boilers can exceed 100%. Over one heating season, they consume much less gas compared with conventional models.
4.Housing conditions
The orientation of the building and wind conditions of the surrounding environment matter. Standalone cold walls have higher heat loss than compact houses with shared partition walls. Heat loss for ground-floor and top-floor units is greater than for middle-floor units. A property with no adjacent neighbours on all sides also affects heat loss, which in turn impacts gas consumption.
5.Wall insulation performance
The airtightness of the building and the insulation performance of windows will also affect the gas consumption of the wall-hung boiler.
6.Temperature control measures
The boiler thermostat is the control device that regulates the heating temperature of the wall-hung boiler. It adjusts the boiler’s operation according to temperature changes in the heating environment to achieve the target temperature and energy-saving effect.
7.Correctness of user operation
The way the product is used can also affect gas consumption. It is necessary to ensure the unit operates normally and correctly.
